Laranjal is the most picturesque of the three Quinta do Lago courses, set in a former orange grove just outside the main estate. Opened in 2009, it’s a modern parkland layout that has quickly built a strong reputation thanks to its bright visuals, exceptional greens, and wide fairways. The course flows through gently undulating terrain lined with umbrella pines, orange trees, and shimmering lakes. Water comes into play on several holes, but the landing areas are generous and the routing player-friendly. It’s a shot-maker’s course, rewarding accuracy and imagination rather than brute force. Greens are undulating and quick, with subtle borrows that catch out the over-confident. Bunkering is bold but fair. It’s also the most peaceful course in the resort – quieter, more relaxed, and less claustrophobic than the South. Great for mixed-ability groups, returning players, or anyone looking for a luxurious, free-flowing round in the sunshine.

The 16th is a beautiful par-3 over water to a narrow green. The 17th is a par-5 with options – reachable for long hitters, demanding for the rest. The par-4 9th features a lake right and elevated green – a visually stunning turn point.
Typical Algarve conditions – warm, dry, and calm. Peak season brings hot midday sun. Spring and autumn are perfect, and the course stays firm and fast year-round thanks to excellent drainage.
