Finca Cortesin is Spain’s new icon – a sprawling, flawless championship course set in the rolling hills above the Costa del Sol. Built in 2007 and already host to multiple Volvo World Match Play Championships and the 2023 Solheim Cup, it’s a modern masterpiece. Designed by Cabell B. Robinson, the routing flows through valleys, ridgelines, and elevated tees that deliver panoramic views of the Mediterranean and surrounding mountains. Fairways are generous but undulating, greens are vast and multi-tiered, and bunkering is bold and strategic. Every detail – from turf condition to landscaping – is dialled in to perfection. While it’s long from the tips, multiple tee boxes make it playable for all levels. The closing stretch is dramatic, with water, elevation, and wind combining to test nerve and precision. Finca is not just a golf course – it’s an experience, with five-star service, quiet exclusivity, and a setting that feels a world apart. It’s Spain’s answer to the best of American resort golf, without losing its Andalusian soul.
