Playing the Course
Malone Golf Club was founded in 1895 and is a fine championship course situated on 330 acres of undulating wooded parkland. The Club’s 27 holes of secluded gently undulating parkland countryside is only 5 miles from Belfast City centre.
The centrepiece of the course is the beautiful natural trout lake which extends over 25 acres. The course is a real challenge with mature trees shaping many of the holes and the lake coming into play on the 13th. There are also water hazards on holes 15 and 18 where any wayward shot is likely to find you in the ‘drink’.
Malone Golf Course
Several Irish Opens and Championships have been held here and in recent years the Irish Seniors Masters featuring legends such as Gary Player have been played at Malone.
