Playing the Course
Royal Belfast Golf Club is the oldest golf club in Ireland located on the southern shores of Belfast Lough at Craigavad in County Down, a mere seven miles from the centre of Belfast.
Founded in 1881 the club like so many others was designed by the legendary Harry Colt and heritage and tradition are bywords at this famous old club. The course itself is situated in rolling parkland and is easy on the eye with lush fairways, intelligent bunkering and undulating greens.

Maureen Madill, the celebrated broadcaster, prolific as both a player and a coach, encapsulated The Royal Dublin GC perfectly: “The course challenges every part of your golf game, sloping lies and bunkers abound. The greens are of the highest standard and if your game doesn’t match up, just lift your eyes and drink in the phenomenal views.”
