Playing the Course

Rosses Point, meaning “promontory” is a village and surrounding peninsula in County Sligo, Ireland situated at the entrance to Sligo Harbour from Sligo Bay. It is here that you’ll find the Championship course known locally as ‘The Point’.

Founded in 1894 and designed by world famous architect Harry Colt, the site is now a challenging 27 hole complex with a modern clubhouse and luxurious facilities. But it’s the stunning vista of mountains, countryside and the sweeping ocean – first romanticised by W.B. Yeats – that make this one of golf’s top experiences. Though there are 27 holes, 18 holes of golf maximum are played.
