Playing the Course
Walton Heath’s Old Course has been deemed “the epitome of golf.”
It is a challenging course set under a big sky, on barely tamed heathland, and requiring finesse and strength (of mind and body) in equal measure. The 16th hole is the favourite of many of the GC’s members.

Featured in the World’s Top 100 rankings every year since its foundation, Walton Heath’s Old Course is designed to test the extent of a golfer’s repertoire of shots. Although it has many demands, the Old Course’s greater length means that more “Scottish shots” are likely to be seen in this idyllic haven, based in Surrey.
