Playing the Course
Fairmont, St Andrews, situated at the “Home of Golf”, was voted 18th in “The World’s Top Golf Resorts” by Conde Nast Traveler and has also been recognised several times at The Golf Tourism Scotland Awards in recent years.
One of two superb and challenging golf courses, the Torrance course, designed by former Ryder Cup golfing legend Sam Torrance. It’s marked by its deep revetted bunkers, large greens and links design.
The Torrance hosted the Seniors European Tour Event for six consecutive years between 2009 and 2014 and continues to offer a memorable golfing experience for players of all abilities.
Fairmont, Torrance Course
The Torrance Course is professionally maintained throughout the year.
A long course, with no handicap restrictions, it’s challenging for any golfer with unforgiving rough and undulating greens. This is somewhat offset by the natural heritage of the area and it’s breathtaking landscape.
