Playing the Course
The fantastic James Braid designed East Course at Dalmahoy is a true Championship venue. The course is designed in such a way, that it would be worthy of hosting any Professional or Amateur event from any world circuit. From the very back Championship tees, the course is a monster at over 7,400 yards, however for corporate events and members’ competitions, the course is set at 6814 yards which still makes it a stern test.
The sister course to is the equally beautiful West Course. At nearly 2000 yards less in length, it is a much shorter challenge than its sister. However, don’t be fooled. The West is tighter in places with much smaller greens to navigate your ball on to. A par 68 offers many birdie chances but you can also be easily caught out with its trickery and devilishly designed holes.
Both courses cater for all golfing ability and are a joy to play. Beautiful views towards the Forth Road and Rail Bridges can be seen from the higher points of the course.
Only a fifteen minute drive from the centre of Edinburgh, you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the Lothians countryside.
Dalmahoy Golf Club
A perfect complement to its bigger brother, the West Course has an excellent mix of challenging holes which will test your accuracy off the tee and your short game around the greens.
