Playing the Course
The historic Carnoustie Golf Links has been in existence since the 16th century and annually hosts a number of prestigious events.
The Championship Course has hosted eight Open Championships, one Women’s British Open and two Senior Open making it one of the very few to have done so in the UK. It is also one of the three courses used for the annual Dunhill Links.
Considered a golfing masterpiece, its coastal location together with the vagaries of the Scottish weather, ensures it’s one of the most challenging golf courses to play, which only adds to its overall attraction.
Carnoustie, Championship Course
Suitable to golfers of all abilities, over the age of fourteen, this Par 72 course nevertheless has what is widely considered to be the toughest closing stretch of holes anywhere.
Indeed those completing the final four holes with no more than a bogey should be suitably content with their score.
