Daily Ballot etc.

Nearly half of the total number of tee times on the Old Course each year are allocated to the Ballot. This gives people who have been unable to advanced book a chance of playing. It is drawn 48 hours before the day of play and golfers should provide their names, home club and handicap details either by phone or at one of the clubhouses before 2pm, 48 hours before the day they wish to play. Executive Golf and Leisure have many years of experience of managing this process for clients. If we cannot offer you guaranteed tee times for the Old Course during your specified tour dates, we can always enter you into the ballot during your time on tour. If successful, a green fee of £175 is payable to the starter on the day.

Other methods include applying through the Advanced Reservations process for play the following year. Single golfers can also approach the starter at sunrise on the day they wish to play and he will try to slot them in with other groups going out that day.

In order to play the Old Course, golfers must have a playing handicap equal to or lower than 24 (male) or 36 (female).
